Fishing for Trouble is fishing in war zones. It combines adventure travel, war correspondence, extreme danger … and fish.

 

The film follws Time magazine's Africa correspondent Alex Perry as he ventures into Africa's dark heart and the Suud marshes in South Sudan to catch a Nile Perch - up to 3 metres long, the world's largest freshwater fish.

This was a pilot - which C4 screened post watershed - for a series that never came to fruition.

We may not have landed either a fish or a commission.....

but we did get George Clooney! And the front cover of Total Fishing!
